Dear Parents,
Foundation Stage:
KS1 and KS2:
APPS:
Some of the school reading scheme books can be bought as IPAD apps, so if you would like your child to carry on reading the Oxford Reading Scheme Biff and Chip books this may be an option. Please ask your child’s teacher which level they are on just before the holidays if you think you would like to do this option.
Thank you for your continued support.
Foundation Stage:
- http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/websites/eyfs/- if you then go to the communication and language section and click on any of the links e.g The Lingo Show
- http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/ - this has lots of fun programmes that will help your child hear English.
- http://www.bbc.co.uk/schoolradio- here you can download podcasts from sections including Early Learning, listen and play games where children have to recognise sounds. In the English section the children can hear stories such as Jack and the Beanstalk.
- http://www.topmarks.co.uk/– Type in English into the subject box and Early Years into the age box and then there are a lot of links that are fun for your child to do. I would recommend ‘What’s the difference game’ ‘Doorway first sounds’ ‘Booktime’
